Spain’s "White Coast” has long been a favourite for many tourists throughout the years. Home to stunning sandy beaches and bustling city hotspots. The Costa Blanca stretches along the Mediterranean coastline in the province of Alicante. This coast in the southeast of Spain is home to loads of sights and attractions, the most obvious ones being Santa Bárbara Castle, Aqualandia and Mundomar. However, Costa Blanca has some hidden gems that are perhaps not as well known. If you haven't yet visited these, make sure to check out these hidden places.

This is a beautiful spot along the Costa Blanca and is well worth the visit. These waterfalls can be found around 10km away from the small town of Albir. If you fancy a different scene than the beach, the Algar Waterfalls provide a fantastic alternative to cooling down in the hot summer sun. Have a swim under the Algar Waterfalls and splash around in the clear waters. There is also an area with toilets, a picnic area and a little camp site, so it is well facilitated.
This natural park has an abundance of different activities to choose from. Once again, this area borders the little town of Albir. If you consider yourself an outdoorsy person and enjoy scenic views, Serra Gelada is definitely worth the visit. Climb up to the top of the mountain via one of the foot trails which can take around 2 hours. If you decide that trying to trek to the top of a mountain just isn’t for you, no worries, there are other methods to make the trip up. Jeeps make the journey to the top for visitors. Once there, you’ll discover panoramic views of eastern Spain and enjoy the wonderful fresh air and be at one with nature!

This beach is perfect for ultimate relaxation. Playa de Calblanque is a protected area, meaning you’ll find it in wonderful condition. It’s situated within Parque Regional de Calblanque, which is perhaps one of the best landscapes you can find on the Costa Blanca. Although set on a beach, there are many other things to discover and admire on Playa de Calblanque. From mountainous landscapes and isolated coves, to dunes and salt lakes. Due to this area being protected, you won’t find a huge number of people at the beach, making it the perfect place for a bit of peace and quiet.
Tabarca Island is a tiny island that is uninhabited. It rests just off the Costa Blanca coast, around 12 miles from the Alicante marina. Although, boats do leave for Tabarca from other towns including the popular Benidorm. Tabarca Island is in fact a protected marine location, making its coastline a hotspot amongst scuba divers and snorkelers. It’s a wonderful hidden place on the Costa Blanca, where you can spend a day relaxing and taking a dip in the crystal waters.
