Located on the N332 just 5 minutes south of Torrevieja City, Punta Prima boasts gorgeous restaurants right on the water front as well as apartments with fantastic views right over the Mediterranean. The waters here are some of the cleanest in the Costa Blanca and the beaches have been awarded the Blue Flag of excellence. Beside the beaches are many rocky coves where you can see fishermen casting their nets on a nice evening and plenty of snorkelers exploring the seas and rock formations of the area. Punta Prima is half way between Alicante and San Javier (Murcia) Airport and its approx. 30 minutes from each airport.
The main area on the left hand side of the N332 as you head south has plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes as well as banks, gyms and pharmacies. El Secreto is a lovely restaurant that offers Spanish dishes and the best Steaks you’ve ever tasted. The owners are very welcoming and you can sit inside or out and enjoy the lovely ambiance and the soft music. Further along towards the sea, Punta Prima Restaurant is a spectacular venue with unrivalled sea views and a lovely modern terrace, weddings are often held here, the dining room and bar are very elegant and photographs would be simply amazing. It is set along a lovely walkway that leads from Punta Prima along the coast to Cabo Roig.
Set on both sides of the N332 like many of the towns along the way, Punta Prima has, on the right hand side heading south, a lovely shopping centre which has a McDonalds – to make you feel at home, a fabulous card shop and an electrical goods outlet which sells washing machines, cookers, televisions and all small house electrics. There is also the popular Timeless Fashions which sells English clothes. Behind McDonalds is the Patio Anduluz, this famous establishment provides delicious Spanish cooking and regularly has Shows incorporating everything Spanish – Flamenco dancing, storytelling and Guitar playing. The area has plenty of supermarkets including Consum , Lidl and Carrefour.
The famous Nautillus Restaurant is located on the Waterfront and is designed to look like a ship and has water views from every table. The food is wonderful with an excellent choice of seafood but there is also good choice for the meat lover. Due to its close proximity to Torrevieja it is easy to visit the aquapark or the markets of Torrevieja, and enjoy all the cultural activities the city has to offer. If you enjoy a good walk it is about 30 minutes to walk from Punta Prima to Torrevieja along beautiful coastal areas dotted with cafes and little beaches.
