El Presidente is a quiet urbanisation in the very popular Villamartin in the Costa Blanca area of Spain. It is set behind Villamartin Golf Course. These are both blue Flag beaches with beautiful soft sands and have life guards on them during the busier season. There is a very good local bus service with buses on the hour that service the local beaches, Cabo Roig, Playa Flamenca, Zenia Boulevard Shopping Centre and the Villamartin Plaza. Local taxis are plentiful and very reasonable- A trip to Cabo Roig will run you 6 euro. This is a wonderful location to explore the many lovely areas of the Costa Blanca as it is very central, about 40 minutes from the Historical town of Cartagena, 30 minutes from Orihuela and 45 minutes to Alicante City and it has to international airports very close too- Murcia and Alicante. For speedy travel the motorway AP7 can be accessed from La Zenia, this motorway travels through Valencia, Barcelona and Girona to the North and Cartagena, Fungirola and Marbella to the south.
